This was a rally on January 31, 2024 in Sacramento calling for better treatment for our patients and loved ones who suffer from severe mental illness. Most of the demonstrators are family members, a few are peers, and a few are clinicians. We are calling for more treatment beds at all levels, more supportive housing, and early intervention in psychosis to arrest the illness and allow a return to normal life.

Many of these family members have lost sons or daughters due to untreated psychosis. The woman at the microphone with the baggy told us these were her daughter's ashes.  

Specifically, we are calling for a Yes on Prop 1 in California and the immediate implementation of CARE Court throughout California.
